Worries

Hi there, It's been a while since I wrote anything here. There are several reasons and I don't think you are particularly interested in any of them, so I won't address them.
Instead, I'm going to address a couple of things that are worrying me at the moment.

Artificial intelligence: can contribute to amazing things but can also be downright dangerous in the hands of certain elements.
So I am both interested in how many areas can be developed with the help of AI but at the same time I feel concerned about how it can be used for manipulative and very dangerous things.

Autocracies:
The US has always been placed in the upper echelon of democracy surveys, but now the country is seen as a pure autocracy, this since Trump was allowed to rule. Anything that doesn't please him has consequences, often illegal and undemocratic.

There are several examples of countries with dictatorial rule in the world, and even here in Europe there are tendencies in that direction, which is worrying. Democracy is unfortunately being dismantled in many places today. I find this very worrying.

Okay, these are things on my global A-list that worry me.

Things that worry me on a personal level are mostly related to health. My polyneuropathy is only getting worse and so is my osteoarthritis/rheumatism, especially in my hands and fingers. I have also developed skin problems that need to be investigated by a specialist.

But I still work full-time and am lucky to be able to work remotely from home, otherwise I'd never have been able to work.

Well then, at least I've made a post. Maybe not that interesting, but still....
