Well, Hello again...
My chronic illnesses have dominated everyday life for a long time, while I have focused on doing my job, my presence here and on my social media has been extremely sporadic.
Now I have started my vacation and since the world is in war chaos and humanitarian misery, I have to switch off and surround myself with things that give me peace, harmony and joy.
I have dabbled a little with farming, but due to the weather I have mostly devoted myself to my hobbies, crafts and recycling. I knit and crochet from leftover yarn, which is also good for the mobility of my hands and fingers, which are becoming increasingly crooked and stiff from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The neuropathy makes it harder and harder to balance, so I really have to take it easy and watch where I put my feet. It makes gardening extra difficult because I have a hilly natural plot with a lot of stones.
I have also done some renovation work in the kitchen (with professional help of course). I now have new base cabinets and countertops with today's standard height instead of 70s height. A joy for the arms and back, I must say. The sink, faucet, stove and extractor fan are also new. Now all that remains is painting the upper cabinets, which I planned to do myself.
Will also do a little road trip to the neighbouring country with the camper during the holidays.
Well, now you know a little of what's happening here. Will try to update you a little more frequently in the future…
Have a really nice summer!
