Dangerous developments

I would like to share some thoughts about the changes in the world order that have taken place in recent years and which I consider to be a very dangerous development, and I apologize and warn you in advance for a depressing and downbeat post…

Right-wing extremism and national conservatism have taken over in an alarming number of countries. Narrowness, xenophobia and constant attacks on political representatives of the prevailing democratic society or the "establishment" as it is called.

In Europe there are already established undemocratic countries, but in several countries the right-wing conservatives are fighting for power and in the rest of the world as well.

The United States has always been seen as the bastion of democracy, but that was before a certain confident and self-absorbed businessman appeared…Now, who knows what's going to happen.....

Swedes under attack

Here in Sweden, we're under attack from deadly confrontations between criminal gangs that have also claimed innocent victims.

A few days ago, a father and son were on their way to the bathhouse when they met a group of young guys in an underpass. The father spoke up because of their foul language and was shot dead by one of them in front of his twelve-year-old son. This is horrific and beyond all human limits....

Police and other authorities have new measures in place, both crime prevention and social prevention to curb the development, and more methods are under investigation.

What's frustrating is that in a strong democracy with constitutions that must be respected, it takes time to get all this into action. People feel scared and insecure and want to see change immediately which is understandable.

The most frightening thing is how these gang leaders put guns and explosives in the hands of children and use them to kill. It is the height of cowardice of these leaders who often sit abroad and give their orders to underlings here who then recruit these lost and troubled children.

Under the circumstances, I'm lucky to live in a relatively quiet city with low crime, but these criminal gangs are spreading like weeds across the country so who knows how long you can feel safe...

Something drastic must happen to reverse this trend and very soon!
