Random thoughts...

When you've got a relatively long way in life you start to think about the changes that has occured in society. First and foremost about the perception of chronic illness of course since it has been a big part of your life, but also about the human view generally and the impact humanity has on, for example, the environment.

With a war in Europe, which has enjoyed peace since the end of World War II, and conflicts going on in the middle east, Africa and in other places in the world, you wonder why man always has had such an urge to annihilate each other.

I mean that, apart from wanting to conquer countries or territories,  religion is the biggest cause of war. Religion has been a cause of many wars in history and it still is, but this is just my opinion.

Men are the driving forces in both cases. It has always been men that rules in all the religions, and the same thing in countries with autocratic systems and governance, men with an urge to get power over the citizens their society, especially the women. I just mention Iran....

I'm not a man-hating feminist at all if that's what you're thinking, I'm just stating the facts

Now we have another urgent problem. All since the advent of industrialization we have slowly but surely destroyed the conditions for a natural climate and a healthy planet. We are now close to the critical point of never being able to reverse the dangerous trend.

The green transition goes too slowly when the market forces and money control and determine the conditions. Agreement between countries on a common path seems impossible...

As an example of the market's power over climate and environmental policy the Swedish government called an important meeting regarding the climate issue. The invited participants mostly consisted of representatives of the market, none who represented research or environmental groups.

This was questioned by the media, and of course, caused protests both from the public and the environmental movement who demonstrated outside the meeting.

But this is not just a problem in my country, the market has a firm grip on the planet and its future everywhere.

So the million dollar question is: Why is humanity so determined to exterminate itself? 🤔
I really don't have an answer.....

XOXO
