Swedish Whining

I live in one of the richest and most democratic countries in the world and I am very grateful for that. What bothers me is that there are so many who complain and whine about basically everything.
This is something you clearly experience via social media.

Sure, there is a lot that can be improved in our society, but instead of complaining, you should do something active to change what you think is wrong, politically or otherwise.

The biggest hypocrisy among some whiners is that they do not even bother to vote when it is election year. It completely disqualifies their right to complain in my view.

If they just lifted their eyes (and ass), they would realize that compared to a lot of other societies, theirs is among the best. Freedom, democracy and well-developed welfare is not everyone who gets to experience.
Now maybe someone thinks that complaints about political measures, or lack of such, via social media is a good way to announce their opinions, and I agree with that. But a lot of those are just pure whining and many posts degenerate into personal attacks and character assassinations of our democratically elected politicians.

They are insulted and, in the worst case, threatened with protection of anonymity behind the screens, this appplies especially women politicians and government officials. These bullies are just pathetic cowards and nothing else.

In recent years, the world has been paralyzed by the wave of refugees, terrorism and most recently the pandemic. We must also not forget about climate change in this context. With all that in mind, we have still done well despite all the problems this has created and continue to cause. You can not expect life to return to normal or improve radically at the pace you want after these complications for society.
We must all be patient....

I am... but I'm an incurable optimist so...

XOXO
