Mission (almost) impossible

Medications can be for better or worse...

After a visit to a specialist, new medicines have been prescribed again, and I thought I should figuring out how many tablets I squeeze in per day just for fun. I came up to sixteen, which is a hefty number, but it is not the number that is the worst, it is the size of some pills ...

The case is that in recent years I have had a very hard time swallowing. I do not know what it is due to and I'm a little scared to find out, but I'll probably have to eventually. So imagine trying to swallow seven tablets early in the morning, three of which size are like marbles, two in the same size at lunch, four pills at bedtime of which two large ones, and also three large pills during the day, one with every meal. I almost get to anxiety level every time it's medication time.

The difficulty in swallowing means that even though I don't swallow them all at once and have lots of water to rinse them down with, I sometimes get a suffocating feeling, my heart beats unevenly and I get dizzy. It's really scary.

I also take five insulin injections a day, and sometimes it feels like half the day is spent on medications.

Even though I have dosettes , which btw barely hold all the pills due to their size, I sometimes forget an occasional dose, usually the one at lunchtime because I'm so focused on work during the day. This means that I have to push in two more gigant tablets with my bedtime dose.

I know you think I'm stupid not to cut the big pills i halves or crush them, but I can't stand the taste that emerges and then I don't get them down at all.

Is there anyone else with the same problem who has any tips or tricks, please let me know.

XOXO
