Happy Feet

Since I have diabetic/autoimmune neuropathy which affects my feet and legs, I really need to take good care of my exceptionally dry and permanently swollen and aching feet.

I'm always looking for new tips on diy-recipes to make a soothing footbath or a moisturizing mask.

Here's a couple of masks that works really well:

Super-Moisturizing Foot Mask

Pour 4 teaspoons of oil into a bowl. Good options for oils include almond, sesame, coconut or olive oil. Add 2 teaspoons of cocoa butter, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of honey and the contents of 4 vitamin E capsules.

Mix the ingredients well with a spoon. Soak your feet for 20 minutes in a basin or tub with warm water. Pat your feet dry with a towel. Massage the mixture into each foot.

Put on a pair of cotton socks and go to bed for the night. Take off the socks the following morning, then rinse your feet with warm water to remove the foot mask. Your feet will feel silky, smooth and moisturized.

Multifunctional 20 min-mask

½ cup of Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of natural pure honey, 3 tablespoons Coconut oil, 1 stalk with celery, 6 drops of Bergamot essential oil

Rinse and slice the celery and place it and the other ingredients in a food processor or mixer. Mix to a smooth lint and then apply it immediately to your feet with your fingers or with a brush. Leave for about 15-20 minutes while enjoying its cooling effect along with the calming effect of Bergamot Essential Oil. Then rinse them and feel your feet moisturized and soft

Facts:

Probiotics in the Greek yogurt provide useful proteins and lactic acid, which when rubbed on the skin removes old cells, which makes the skin soft and beautiful.

Celery is rich in zinc that helps to repair dry and cracked skin. The seller also contains plenty of vitamins and is cleansing and detoxifying.

The naturally pure honey is moisture preservation and contains beneficial enzymes and antioxidants with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Bergamot essential oil is soothing and healing for the skin.
